We have produced a FREE eBook which gives you a good understanding of our Do It Yourself Film Course. It contains 16 minutes of video footage, is called A New Approach to Training - An Insight and is available at Apple's iBooks store.
This eBook introduces our Do It Yourself Film Course which has been designed by, Ian Ingram Young, Principal of APA International Film School, an experienced trainer for the film and television industry. It explains both how the course is structured and how it works.
There is advice on how to get started and how to handle practical production work. You are shown video examples of simple ideas for your first productions and given suggestions on how to build up your practical skills. There are also recommendations on how to assess your progress and also your work.
Maybe you are wondering if you can tackle the course by yourself or what equipment you will need. You'll find suggestions about both these areas in this eBook.
The second chapter called, ‘Let's Take a Look', has a movie clip featuring a montage of small sections taken from the first four modules of the course, which all involve becoming familiar with your equipment and learning how to use it effectively. We think you will enjoy watching it, but you must keep in mind that the montage has not been designed to train you, but rather to provide you with an idea of what you will find in our Do It Yourself Film Course and allow you to become familiar with Ian's training style. It will give you an excellent idea of what you can expect from the course and, as Ian says, "if you decide to take the journey with me, I think it will be an exciting ride !!!
